Design In Action —
2018, Kin —

To communicate the process of experimentation that goes into creating new aircraft, we created a digital interactive drafting table, which allows visitors to construct their own planes. After choosing whether they want to optimise speed, reach, or height, users drag and drop their selection of wings and engines until they’re happy with the result. They can then put their new plane through its paces by test flying it at one of the neighbouring pilot pods.

A wooden analogue version is also available for younger children, who can put together different parts to make weird and wonderful aeronautical creations.
