David Lloyd Clubs want to be the largest health, fitness and lifestyle club in the world.
With 700k members they needed to transform their digital experience to remain competitive as well as grow their membership beyond their physical gyms.
After a process of research, validation and vision setting we set about iterating their existing digital apps into a new holistic offer.
We drew on in-club visits, expert interviews, user testing and behavioural science principles to design a lifestyle proposition that helps members create tailored health and wellness routines that incorporate gym activities, virtual classes and wellness exercises.
We worked with David Lloyd’s digital, marketing and fitness teams, external content creation partners and a large development team to iteratively release the app, ensuring existing high volume functions (20k class bookings daily!) remained unaffected whilst delivering new lifestyle features.
